The Sant Corneli y Sant Cebrià Church in Ordino, Andorra was built in the 13th century. The exact date when the first building was built is not known, however, records suggest that an earlier church is likely to have resided in the same area since the 10th century. The church was built on the foundation of an old Romanesque church that was destroyed in the 12th century. The present church dates from the 13th century, and is one of the best examples of Gothic architecture in the country. The main facade of the church is simple and of Romanesque style, but its interior is richly decorated with wood carvings, typical of the Gothic style. Inside the church, there is an interesting modern altar decorated with reliefs and stained-glass windows. The church itself was expanded over time, first in the 15th century when a sacristy and a bell tower were added, and then again in the 17th century. During the 17th century, the church underwent a large renovation and most of the modern decoration and artwork visible today are from this era.
