The Tessala Mosque, located in Tessala, Algeria, is believed to have been built in 1611. It is a large mosque and was built in order to serve as a place of worship for the local population. In 1690 it was converted to a Muslim Shrine. This mosque is still standing today and has been renovated twice over the centuries. It is considered the oldest functioning religious structure in Algeria, and is home to one of the most important shrines in the country. The Tessala Mosque is located in the small city of Tessala in Algeria. It is the oldest mosque in the town and is still in use today. The mosque is constructed of stone and plaster and is a single-room structure. It is accessed through a large gate and there is a central minaret, which is used to call worshippers to prayer. The mosque’s interior is decorated with brightly colored geometric patterns as well as with verses from the Quran, written in large letters. Inside, there is a space for prayer and a raised platform for the imam. The Tessala Mosque also serves as a meeting place for community events and public lectures, and provides a place of refuge on hot days. Tessala Mosque is an old mosque located in Tessala El Merdja, a commune in the Bordj Menaiel District in the Djelfa Province of Algeria. The mosque is located between two mountains, Saidi and River Tissa. It is approximately 150 years old and retains many of its original features. The mosque is an important example of traditional architecture in the region. It is a single-room building, with walls and roof made of mud-brick, and is generally rectangular in shape. The mosque has a flat-roofed qibla, a mihrab, a wooden-frame minbar and a maqsurah in the centre. Its main entrance is usually wide, with a single door. Inside, the mosque has aisles, niches and columns. The mosque is open to visitors during the day, but no services are provided. It can be reached by car from the nearby town of El Oued or from Tessala El Merdja. The nearest airport is the Oued Irara Airport, located approximately 10 km away from the mosque. beautiful masjid.
