is a large 200-year-old mosque located in Constantine, Algeria. It was built in 1780 by Sidi Hassan Karkar. The mosque is named after the great 14th century Arab historian Ibn Khaldun, who was born in Tunisia and wrote his famous works in Constantine. The mosque has five courtyards, four of which are surrounded by arcades. The mosque has a prayer hall with four distinct Mihrabs, a pulpit, a niche, and a prayer niche. The mosque is surrounded by four fortified minarets. The mosque is regularly visited by locals and tourists alike. It is one of the most famous mosque in Algeria which you must visit.

The Ibn Khaldoun Mosque is a historical monument located in Constantine, Algeria. It was first built in the 10th century and its architecture has been heavily influenced by the Moorish style, comprising a large rectangular courtyard with four sides divided by arches. In the center of the courtyard is the prayer hall, surrounded by aisles and galleries. The mosque is composed of two stories, with an open colonnade of columns. The mosque’s façade has a triple arch entrance, with marble columns and decorated with geometric and floral designs. The exterior walls are covered with decorated tiles while the roof of the mosque is covered in green tile. Inside, the walls are adorned with surprisingly detailed painted designs in bright colors. The columns of the prayer hall are painted with geometric patterns while its ceiling is richly decorated with colorful squares. The Ibn Khaldoun Mosque is an important example of Moorish architecture in Algeria and testifies to the diverse cultural heritage of the region. It is also a testament to the history and significance of the city of Constantine for centuries. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.
