In the latest report, the Taiwan government said this Monday that it will resume visa-free entry for a few countries starting from Sep12. The decision has come after two years of hiatus due to the pandemic. This will boost the tourism sector in Taiwan and also encourage domestic traveling.
Another Asian country that has removed Covid-19 restrictions is South Korea. Now overseas travelers don’t have to show pre-departure Covid-19 test results from Sep 3, it’s not compulsory to show negative test reports before departure. However, travelers still need to show 24 hour PCR report at the time of arrival.
Japan has also made traveling convenient for domestic as well as international travelers. Now international travelers can visit Japan on package tours minus a guide. This set of rules commenced on Sep 7, however, there are some restrictive border norms that are still prevalent in Japan compared to other countries.
From August 12, the quarantine period is shortened for all types of arrival from seven days to three days in Hong Kong. Following this, travelers need to self-monitor for the next four days.
Short-term travelers aged 13 and older who are not completely immunized but are traveling to Singapore no longer need to seek entry authorization as of August 29.
They are not needed to submit to a PCR test at the conclusion of the stay-home notice period or to submit to a seven-day stay-home notice upon arrival. Singapore is undoubtedly one of the safest Asian countries for tourism.
Malaysia has nullified all the Covid-19 rules and accepted every traveler. Whether traveler has Covid-19 vaccination certificates or not they are allowed in the country. They do not have to submit pre-departure or on-arrival Covid-19 negative test certificates.
Travelers are no longer required to submit their documents through the online Thailand Pass application before entering the country.
Travelers to Thailand just need to present a certificate of immunization at the point of entry.
