The law was approved by the Council of Ministers Resolution which focuses on developing new tourist spaces with modern and advanced tourist destinations. The New Tourism Law is planned to compete in the international tourism market and attract more tourists. The Kingdom is planning to bring new innovators and improve the ease of doing business. As a result, the Ministry can grant special licenses and support to new or experimental tourism firms, enabling them to succeed. Establishing a one-stop platform for all tourist stakeholders will also streamline licensing processes and procedures. In February 2022, both programs were unveiled as a part of the Ministry’s Digital Tourism Strategy.
