To enter Japan foreigners and even citizens coming from abroad need to fulfill the requirements. Citizens of nations that typically do not require a visa to enter Japan now have to go through the inconvenience of applying for a visa ahead of time.

However, the Japanese government has chosen to move toward removing travel restrictions after only a small number of tourists visited during the first half of the summer 2022. Travelers visits Japan to experience the enthusiastic and exciting summer festivals. Only about 8,000 foreigners visited Japan in June and July, according to the nation’s Immigration Services Agency.
