In the new visa guidelines of the EU visa policy, Serbia has put an end to the visa-free policy for Indians in the wake to control illegal immigrants. The visa-free travel policy for Indians to Serbia will not be valid from January 1, 2023. 

Additionally, Indian Embassy has issued a travel advisory in Serbia and Belgrade has also announced that travelers that are planning to visit Serbia from January 1, 2023, require a visa to enter the country. 

The Serbian government has officially ended the practice of granting all Indian passport holders visa-free entrance and stays of up to 30 days in Serbia. Prior to this change, Indian citizens with regular passports and other acceptable travel documents could enter Serbia without a visa for up to 30 days within a calendar year.

The Indian Embassy has advised Indian nationals planning to travel to Serbia on or after January 1, 2023, to apply for a visa at the Serbian Embassy in New Delhi or in their country of residency in light of the most recent development. Indian citizens who possess a valid Schengen, UK, or US visa may still enter Serbia without a visa for a period of up to 90 days, according to the Embassy.
