The nuns also offer food and incense to the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas during their spiritual practice. During special seasonal festivities, such as Buddhist birthdays and events, the nuns will perform more elaborate rites. Worship is also performed periodically throughout the day, with the nuns gathering to chant mantras and prayers in a courtyard.
