The Chua Mot Cot (One Pillar Pagoda) in Hanoi, Vietnam, is not exclusively a place of worship, but still holds a special significance for Vietnamese Buddhists. In order to worship at this site, offerings of incense, candles, and food, as well as prostrations, chanting, and meditation, are all used to honor the pagoda and show devotion to the ancestors. Buddhist visitors may also pay respects to an enshrined statue of Quan Am, the Bodhisattva of Compassion, located inside the pagoda. Buddhists also kneel on red cushions in front of the statue.
