Worship Method:

The traditional worship method of Wat Phra Sri Sanphet in Thailand includes a range of rituals which are performed over the course of several days. The rituals involve making sacrifices, paying homage to Buddha images, bathing the Buddha statue, and offering chanting and prayers. On the first day of the ritual the worshippers will make offerings of food and incense, and place jasmine garlands around the Buddha images, before reciting the Pattibatthanasangaha. On the second day of the worship, the worshippers will bathe the Buddha image with scented water whilst chanting the Maha Mangala Sutta and offering flowers, light and incense. On the third day, the worshippers will offer Khonbas – little balls of ground rice with a small banan leaf touching the top – which are believed to bring luck to those who offer them.
