Thirumanancheri Temple's worship method is known as Agamandham. It is a composite of rituals prescribed by ancient Sangam and Tamil literature. The ritual combines Siva Puja, Raksha Puja, Abhishekhams, Kaavadi (chariot-pulled procession), and special offerings. The Thirumanancheri Temple’s Agamandham series offers a systematic format for performing Siva Puja rituals, the Raksha Puja, Abhishekhams, and the Kaavadi. First, after a comprehensive assessment of the devotee's request by the priests, rituals as prescribed by the Guru are performed. After the required rituals, a Kaavadi (a drawing chariot) procession is taken around the temple with the devotees, carrying the image of the deity, accompanied by the chanting of mantras. During the process of the puja, Abhisekhams (sprinkling of the deity with holy water or sandalwood paste) are conducted. The culmination of the puja is marking of holy marks (Tilak) on the forehead of the devotee. An offering of fruits, flowers, and grace to the deity are offered as concluded rituals.
