The Worship Method of Karur Pasupathieswarar Temple is based on Shaivism which is a denomination of Hinduism devoted to the worship of the Lord Shiva. This temple is one of the few temples dedicated to the worship of Shiva in Tamil Nadu. Worshippers enter the sanctum of the temple to perform puja to the Shiva lingam.
