The traditional worship method of Panchavarnaswamy Temple is based on ancient Tamil customs and Vedic rituals. The temple follows the Saiva Agamas, which are the main source of knowledge on the worship of God Shiva in the form of Lord Panchavarnaswamy. The temple priests perform several aartis (rituals) to please the deity and to fulfil the devotional wishes of the devotees. The main daily rituals include: 1. Usha Pooja: Usha Pooja is performed in the early morning to welcome Lord Panchavarnaswamy. 2. Kalasa Pooja: This ritual is performed in the morning to sanctify the temple premises. 3. Abhisheka Pooja: Abhisheka Pooja is performed using water, milk and sanctified herbs. 4. Panchavarna Pooja: This ritual is an important feature during this temple worship. It is performed using five holy colors representing the five elements of nature. 5. Pradoshamandala Pooja: This ritual is performed on the Pradoshamandala days, which occur on every 13th day of the tamil month. 6. Archanai: This ritual is performed for pooja and homa. 7.
