St. Ursula's English Church In Switzerland is an Anglican Church located in Basel, Switzerland. The roots of St. Ursula’s church can be traced back to the early 19th century, when Basel was home to many English-speaking people. In 1826, a Sunday service in English was held for the first time in Basel, with services being held regularly from 1832. St. Ursula’s Church was officially established in 1853 under the patronage of Queen Victoria.Today, the church serves its growing congregation with a range of services such as weekly Sunday worship, baptism, marriage and funerals. Other services offered include weekly bible study, prayer and music, as well as special seasonal events. St. Ursula’s Church is also a supporter of the Swiss charity, Emmaus, and regularly hosts events to help raise funds for the organization.
