, Kirche Jesu Christi der Heiligen der Letzten Tage In Switzerland is a Christian denomination known as The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The Church was first introduced to Switzerland by missionaries of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1850. Following its introduction, the Church grew quickly and by 1853, Swiss Latter-day Saints had established more than one hundred congregations within the country. Missionary efforts were eventually halted due to official persecution of the Church. However, the Church maintained a presence in Switzerland and gradually grew, largely as a result of missionary work among the Swiss citizens living abroad. The Church membership in Switzerland has continued to grow steadily to the present day. Today, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Switzerland is organized into eight Switzerland Districts, four of which have their own temples. The Church offers a range of services including worship services, scripture study, family history research, welfare and humanitarian assistance, youth activities, and many more.
