The main worship method of the Sivan Temple, Pethalai, Valaichchenai, Eravur in Sri Lanka is a form of Hindu temple puja known as Kumbaba puja. Here, devotees offer prayers to Lord Shiva, the main deity of the temple. Traditionally, the puja involves offering flowers, fruits, and coconuts to Lord Shiva. The Sivan Temple is located in the town of Pethalai, Valaichchenai, Eravur, Batticaloa District, Sri Lanka. The easiest way to reach the temple is by car. The temple is located about 14 kilometers away from Batticaloa. It can be reached in about 40 minutes by car. From Batticaloa town, drive east along Peralam Road and then take a left onto Kumulamunai Road. Drive for about 3 kilometers and then take a left onto Valliam Road. Keep driving for about 2 kilometers and then turn left again to reach the temple. Public transport is also available. Buses run regularly from Batticaloa town to Valaichchenai.
