Mols Bjerge National Park is a Danish national park located near Ebeltoft, Central Denmark. It is the second largest national park in Denmark, and the first Danish national park established in 2009. The park covers an area of 110 sq. km, of which 73 sq. km is protected as a national park. The remaining area of the park is also open to the public for recreational activities such as fishing, swimming, and hiking. The park contains a variety of landscapes including forests, heaths, bogs, streams, lakes, and sandy beaches. History:

Mols Bjerge National Park was established in 2009, representing one of Denmark's largest areas of protected protected coastal and forest landscape. Located on Djursland Peninsula in eastern Denmark, the park covers an area of 16,000 hectares over the Mols Bjerge Hills and includes the surrounding areas of forests, heaths, grasslands, coastal meadows, sand dunes, wetland and small islands, providing many rare animal and plant species with a home in their natural habitat. The national park is part of an EU project called Baltic-Nordic Nature Parks, an initiative to protect the EU Baltic Sea environment. The project seeks to preserve biodiversity, share knowledge among conservationists, and promote sustainable tourism in the region. The park is jointly managed by Djursland, Ebeltoft and Aarhus County councils. The national park also offers a range of activities, such as hiking, biking and water sports for visitors. There are also various organized tours and learning activities available, a range of local produce to purchase, and a number of campgrounds. Mols Bjerge National Park has a rich history that stretches back even before it was officially designated as a protected area.
