Catedral de la Encarnación de Málaga is an ancient cathedral located in the city of Málaga, in the province of Andalusia, southern Spain. It is a Roman Catholic church and has been a cathedral since 1279. It was declared a Historic-Artistic Monument of Spain in 1931. The cathedral covers a period from the 16th century Gothic to the 18th century Baroque. It features grand, towering columns and a carved doorway, portico and balustrade. The interior contains elaborate Neo-Classical decoration, a magnificent marble floor and stained glass windows. The cathedral also has a crypt and multiple chapels. The cathedral is home to the Sacred Art Museum, and a bell tower, built in 1740, which offers breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. The cathedral also provides religious services such as baptisms, weddings and funerals.
