History:
Stobswell Parish Church of Scotland was built in 1834 as a replacement for a much older church building that had stood on the site since 1590. The new building was designed by David Hamilton of Glasgow and reconstruction of the interior was completed in the 1950s. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Scotland.
