Action of Churches Together in Scotland (ACTS) In Scotland: History,Facts, & Services
Action of Churches Together in Scotland (ACTS) is a voluntary organization that seeks to facilitate and strengthen the Christian presence in Scotland. It was founded in 1981 by a group of churches in Scotland to help churches to work together in mutual sharing and cooperation. Its main aims are to work for the unity and mission of the church, to promote ecumenical dialogue, and to foster inter-denominational outreach. It is affiliated to the wider ACTS network in the UK and internationally. It offers a wide range of resources and services, including prayer and worship resources, training days and conferences, ecumenical magazine publications, and collaborative initiatives with other organisations. It also provides advice and assistance to local churches on theological and ecumenical matters, as well as acting as an informal theological dialogue group.
