Colintraive Church In Scotland: History,Facts, & Services
History:
The original Colintraive church, dedicated to St Blane, was probably built around the beginning of the 16th century. The ruins of the building still stand in the grounds of the current church and it is thought to be the site where St. Columba began his ministry in 563 AD. The current church was constructed in the 1860s and has been recently refurbished with beautiful stained glass windows, a new floor and pews. Colintraive Church This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Scotland.
