History:
St Ciaran’s Church was built in the early 11th century as a collegiate church, and was granted control of the nearby Priory of the same name in 1124. It has undergone various renovations over the centuries, most notably the addition of a new bell tower in 1654. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Scotland.

The church is made up of a nave, chancel and two transepts, and is built from local sandstone. Its tower is topped with a weather-vane in the shape of a cockerel. St Ciaran’s Church is also renowned for its stained glass windows which were commissioned in the late 19th century and depict saints, prophets and biblical scenes.
Services:
Services at St Ciaran’s Church are held every Sunday at 9:15am and 11:15am. On the first Sunday of each month, a bilingual Gaelic and English service is held at 10:30am. The church also hosts regular events such as Bible study meetings, prayer meetings and breakfast church.This beautiful church in Scotland has made a lot of significance in the past.
