Church of Scotland Tenandry Kirk In Scotland: History,Facts, & Services
History:
The first church on the site of the Tenandry Kirk was most likely build during the 1100’s. It was later enlarged and remodeled in the twelfth century. During the Reformation in 1560, the Tenandry Kirk became a part of the Church of Scotland. In 1712, the current building was constructed with a stone spire and a turret clock on the front side. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Scotland.

The Tenandry Kirk is built in the Gothic style with lancet shaped windows and rigid buttresses. It is the oldest building in Cupar and is in continuous use since its construction in 1712. The church also houses ancient stone monuments and a number of important artefacts from across Scotland.

The Tenandry Kirk offers regular Sunday services, weekly prayer meetings, baptisms, weddings and other ceremonies. It also has small groups, youth programmes and other activities for the community.This beautiful church in Scotland has made a lot of significance in the past.
