History:
The current structure dates from 1814, and replaced an earlier version destroyed by fire in 1801. The original building, built in 1634, was designed by George Goldie and completed in 1636. It was considerably remodeled over the centuries, developing into its current form. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Scotland.
