The Masjid Al-Masha'er was designed by respected Saudi Arabian architect and linguist Sudi Yassin as a modern interpretation of classic Islamic architecture and features seven domes of varying sizes that echo the stylised onion domes and other decorative elements of traditionalist mosques. The building follows the traditional Islamic layout with a central sahn (courtyard), a 52-meter tall prayer hall, a minaret and multiple areas that are the main gathering places for worshippers. At the center of the complex, a large cultural center houses an exhibition hall, two multi-functional lecture halls, a library, and an auditorium. The mosque is decorated with unique Islamic artwork and beautiful tile work that draws inspiration from the geometric patterns of traditional Islamic art. These designs are focused on creating an idyllic atmosphere of spirituality and solemnity for the worshippers who come to pray. The surroundings of the Masjid Al-Masha'er are adorned with various stone inscriptions, lush gardens, and courtyards, providing visitors with an environment of relaxation and contemplation. These details give serenity to the area and contribute to the overall synthesis of the Islamic traditions and modern architecture. The Masjid Al-Masha'er has become a popular spot for both locals and visitors alike, as it offers a comfortable atmosphere, excellent views, and a profoundly local experience that can’t be seen in any other building in the region.
