Brief History:
Masjid Al-Ijabah, also known as Jabhat al-Harmain, is a historic mosque located in Al-Ghadir, Saudi Arabia. The mosque was built in the early Islamic period and has been renovated several times since. The mosque is renowned for its unique structure, featuring seven domes and an enormous courtyard which is said to have once been the site of grand religious assemblies. The mosque is also home to a variety of Islamic relics, including a copy of the Quran that is said to have been given by the Prophet Muhammad himself. It is also believed that the Prophet Muhammad stopped at this mosque during his journey from Makkah to Madinah. It is one of the most famous mosque in Saudi-Arabia which you must visit.
Architecture:
Masjid Al-Ijabah in Saudi Arabia is situated to the east of the Grand Mosque in Makkah. The design of the mosque combines traditional Islamic architecture with contemporary materials and features, such as curved domes and expansive colonnades. The mosque features a large central courtyard surrounded by four colonnades, each featuring forty-nine arches. The main prayer hall of the mosque has a capacity of 5000 worshippers. The mosque also features a minaret, seven ablution facilities, and two courtyards. The exterior of the mosque is made up of marble, granite, and sandstone, while the interior features plaster walls, intricate tilework, and intricate lattice screens. The mosque is also home to a science and research library that houses a range of Islamic literature and scientific journals. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.
Visiting Hours:
Masjid Al-Ijabah is open for visitation from 8am to 12pm and from 3pm to 8pm. Note that the mosque is closed for visitation on Fridays. best mosque in the world.
