The Church of God Seventh-day, Dennery is notable for its insistence on keeping a strict version of the Saturday Sabbath and its acceptance of modern scientific theories as compatible with the Bible. History:

 In 1903, Sebert N. Dennery, who had immigrated from England, founded the church in the United States at Graysville, Tennessee. He later established the division of the church based on the keeping of the Saturday Sabbath, which was later named Church of God Seventh-Day. Previous to this division, members of the original Church of God had believed in a Sunday Sabbath. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Saint Lucia.
