Sant'Ivo Dei Bretoni In Rome: History,Facts, & Services
History:
The building was commissioned by Marie de Bretagne, princess of France, in the late 16th century. It was built from 1581 to 1643 in the style of late-Renaissance architecture and is the work of architect Orazio Grassi. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Rome.

Sant'Ivo incorporates elements from the architectural styles of the French and Italian Renaissance and baroque. The dome is octagonal in shape and is topped by a lantern tower.
