Escomb Saxon Church is a Grade I listed 7th century Anglo-Saxon church situated in Escomb, near Bishop Auckland, County Durham, England. History:

The church at Escomb was originally built by the Saxons in the late 7th century and dedicated to St. John the Baptist. The original building was made of timber, but was then replaced by a stone structure at some point during the intervening years. It is believed that the stones used in the current structure came from the fortifications of the nearby Roman fort at Eburacum (modern-day York).
