Santa Maria della Consolazione al Foro Romano is an ancient Roman Catholic religious complex located in Rome. It consists of a large church, a convent, and a cemetery. The church was originally commissioned in 1490 and completed in 1505. It is a Late Gothic building with Renaissance and Baroque elements. The complex includes works of art from the Jubilee of 1550, a cross attributed to Bramante, and the sculpture of Saint Michael the Archangel. The convent is home to the Discalced Carmelites and the cemetery is full of tombs of past Roman Catholic figures. The complex is open for visitors and is a popular tourist attraction.
