The foundation is part of the diocese of Viterbo, offering a breathtaking architectural and spiritual experience. The complex consists of three wings and a beautiful cloister, with large windows and a Baroque porch. Facts:
Built by Prince Romulus, the monastery was consecrated under Pope Gregory II in 753 AD. It remained in the Romulus family until it was donated to the Benedictines in 1136, although the Romulus family still retained a large influence over it. History:
Throughout its long history, the monastery has been connected to many notable figures and events, including Pope Boniface VIII, the Knights Templar, Francesco di Oriolo and many other Renaissance figures.
