Church of Our Lady of the Incarnation In Portugal: History,Facts, & Services
History:
The parish was originally established in 1858, as the Church of Our Lady of the Incarnation. The original worship space was destroyed during a building demolition and the board of trustees decided to build a permanent church. In 1861 the cornerstone of the church was laid and the new building opened. Since the opening of the church in 1861, it has been home to immigrants from many countries and cultures, including Italy, Germany and Mexico. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Portugal.

Moses Preservation Award and the 2018 NYC Parks Service Historic Designation. • The church was featured in the movie Marry Me starring Jennifer Lopez.
