-The bathroom is situated in the Wat Phu Pha temple, one of the oldest Buddhist temples in Chiang Mai. -The building is constructed with yellowish-brown reclaimed bricks and wooden doors. -The bathroom consists of 8 stalls with wooden doors, a waiting area with benches, and a large roofed space. -The area is kept clean and is serviced by attendants. -Free soap and toilet paper is provided and the water is potable. History:
The Wat Phu Pha public bathroom has been in operation since the 1970s. It is part of the Buddhist temple, founded over 500 years ago by King Mengrai to pay respect to a holy relic. The temple has since been restored multiple times and remains an important part of the local culture. Wat Phu Pha Bath Travel Tips: -Make sure to have a few coins on hand to pay the entrance fee. -Note that the bathroom is open daily from 7am – 6pm. -Bring your own toiletries as they are not provided. -Practice good hygiene and wash your hands thoroughly before exiting.
