The Lutheran Church in the Philippines (ELCP) is the largest Lutheran Church in the Philippines. It is a member of the Lutheran World Federation, and it is the primary Lutheran Church in the country. It was established in 1933 and has grown over the years to now include 212 congregations, comprising of almost 500,000 members. The Church is headed by a Bishop and is divided into seven provinces with support from several international Lutheran partners. The church operates a network of hospitals, clinics and schools which provide medical care, education and spiritual guidance to the community. It also provides social service projects such as those in disaster relief efforts, offering aid to families in need. The Church is dedicated to reaching out to people of all backgrounds, cultures, and beliefs. It promotes participation in the national dialogue of peace and reconciliation, particularly through its efforts to evangelize the youth and promote interfaith dialogue.
