St. Augustine Parish Pinamalayan is one of the oldest parishes in the Philippines. It was founded in 1583 and is located in the municipality of Pinamalayan in Oriental Mindoro Province, Region IV-B. Pinamalayan is the third most populous town in the province. The presence of Catholic faith bearers in this town has been traced back to the 16th century when Augustinian Missionaries had reached the shores of the Philippines. In 1583, the Parish of Pinamalayan was already existing.
