History:
The first church was established in 1952 by Fr. Trinidad Lopez and the Our Lady of Light Parish was later inaugurated in 1969. The church grounds expanded to include a basilica, parish hall and a parish school in the 1970s. The present shrine was inaugurated on November 30, 2004. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Philippines.
