History:

The Iglesia Filipina Independiente National Cathedral is the national cathedral of the Philippines, located in the town of Intramuros in Manila. It was established in 1902, when the Philippines was still a Spanish colony, by a group of anti-colonial activists led by Isabelo de los Reyes. It was consecrated by Isabelo's son, Fr. Gregorio Aglipay as the first national cathedral of the Philippine Independent Church. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Philippines.
