The Lady of Shepherds Greek Melkite Catholic Church In Palestine: History,Facts, & Services

The Lady of Shepherds Greek Melkite Catholic Church is located in Beit Sahour, in the Bethlehem Governorate of the Palestinian Territories. It is part of the Greek Melkite Catholic Archeparchy of Jerusalem which is headed by the Archbishop, His Beatitude Patriarch Gregory III Laham. The church is said to be one of the oldest churches in the area, having been built in 1743. The Lady of Shepherds Church is dedicated to the Virgin Mary and its Feast Day is celebrated on September 8. The main services offered at the church include daily Mass, Sunday Liturgies, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, Eucharistic Processions, Youth Programs, and Retreats. The church is also involved in education, social services, relief projects, and family planning services. The church has a strong focus on supporting its local community and is actively involved in outreach programs.
