Kidane Mehret Church is an Ethiopian Orthodox church in Palestine. It has a long and fascinating history, stretching back to the 4th century AD when four monks representing the Nine Saints of Ethiopia arrived in Palestine. It is believed that their mission was to preach the gospel of Christ and to spread Ethiopian Orthodox Christianity. The church was built in 1187 by the Ethiopian ruler King Lalibela in memory of the Nine Saints who died defending the faith. The church offers a variety of services, including liturgies and sermons, as well as events celebrating Ethiopian religious holidays. It is a popular pilgrimage site for Ethiopians, as well as Orthodox and Catholic Christians from around the world. The church also houses a number of cultural artifacts and works of art that represent the rich culture and history of Ethiopia.
