Narkis Street Congregation is an Orthodox synagogue located in Jerusalem, Israel. Founded in 1998, the synagogue serves the tens of thousands of Orthodox Jews who live in and around Jerusalem. As the only Orthodox synagogue in western Jerusalem, Narkis attracts both local and international visitors and awards weekly learning awards to members. It is one of the best churches in Palestine which you must visit.

History:

Before the establishment of the Narkis Street Congregation in 1998, the building in which it is based was the site of a small prayer house. It was founded by Rabbi Aharon Maimon, and became popular among Jerusalem’s Orthodox community as a place for prayer and learning. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Palestine.

Narkis Street Congregation is the only Orthodox synagogue in the western part of Jerusalem. This is a international competition based on the Hebrew Scriptures, with the winner receiving the title of “Tanakh Champion”.
