The Church of Our Lady of Sorrows (also known as the Basilica of the Seven Sorrows or the Portiuncula of Jerusalem, or Our Lady of the Seven Sorrows) is a Roman Catholic church located in Jerusalem, Israel. It is administered by the Franciscan Friars of the Custody of the Holy Land. The Church is dedicated to Mary, the mother of Jesus, and seeks to commemorate the "seven sorrows" endured by Mary in her lifetime. It is one of the best churches in Palestine which you must visit.

History:

 The Church of Our Lady of Sorrows in Jerusalem has been in existence since 1227. The church was built on a hill of Mt. Zion that is said to be the site of Jesus' Last Supper. The current building was constructed in 1867. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Palestine.
