The mosque is approximately 45 kilometres from the capital Muscat and around 15 kilometres from the town of Shinas. The nearest airport is the Muscat International Airport, which is approximately 44 kilometres from the mosque. The mosque is very easy and straightforward to reach. To get there by car from Muscat, you can drive along the Al Batinah Expressway, passing through the towns of Barka and Maydon before reaching Shinas. From Shinas, turn right at the junction before driving for around 2 kilometres until you reach the mosque, which is located on the left side of the road. The Al Salam North East Mosque is open for prayers five times a day, with the mornings prayer session starting at 6 am and the evenings prayer session beginning at 9 pm.
