is a 13th-century mosque located in the north-central part of the city of Qalhat, in the Al Batinah Region of Oman. The mosque was built during the rule of the Ilkhanid Mongol dynasty, which had recently come to power in the area. It is said to have been constructed in 1294 AD by Nasir al-Din Abu Ma'shar Muhammad ibn Muzaffar al-Dirzi, a member of the Bani Dirz tribe. The mosque is notable for its blend of Arab and Ilkhanid architectural styles, and is also one of the oldest surviving examples of Mongolian Islamic architecture. Unusually, the mosque follows a square-shaped plan, with a central courtyard surrounded by four towering and slightly curved walls. The mosque also features four aisles, two of which have richly-carved iwans leading into two prayer halls, each with its own mihrab and minbar. Architecture:

The Al Qalhat North Central West Central Mosque in Oman is an architectural marvel, showcasing traditional Islamic design elements as well as modern enhancements. The building is a trapezoid structure, largely composed of mud brick and topped with an alabaster dome facing Mecca. The mosque itself is surrounded by four courtyards, each lined with small palm trees, potted plants and water features. The interior of the mosque is adorned with intricately carved marble columns and intricate wall mosaics depicting the life of the Prophet Muhammad. The main prayer hall can accommodate over 1,000 worshippers. At the center of the building stands a tall minaret from which the pre-dawn call to prayer is broadcasted. The exterior is decorated with a variety of small ornamental panels, representing traditional Middle Eastern patterns and motifs.
