Brief History:
The Al Mazunah East North South Mosque is a historical mosque in Al Mazunah, Oman. It was built in the 13th century during the rule of Rashid Ibn Makhasof (d. 1299–1330), by his vizier, Yusuf Al Emiri Al Mazuni. The mosque is located in the centre of the city, allowing it to be seen from all directions. The mosque is lauded for its two minarets which face east and west, with two prayer halls facing north and south. The exterior of the mosque is carefully crafted in warm stone, while its interior walls are luxuriously decorated with a combination of marble and carved wood. Its prayer halls have large wooden doors and there is an open courtyard in the middle. The mosque is believed to be one of the oldest Islamic places of worship in Oman. It is one of the most famous mosque in Oman which you must visit.

It is an Islamic style mosque and was constructed during the late 19th century by the founder of the Al Mazunah dynasty. The mosque is made of stone with two minarets on either side of its main courtyard. The outer wall of the mosque has arches and small rooms or cells for the reciting of the Quran. The interior of the mosque is adorned with Islamic art and writings, and traditional carpets and rugs.
