The Al Mahaj Mosque is located in the north-eastern part of the town of Saham in Oman. The mosque is one of the oldest mosques in the region, and dates back to from the 9th or 10th century. The mosque has a rectangular plan and is characterized by a single prayer hall which is covered by an arched roof. The mosque has a central courtyard surrounded by architecture and decoration of its walls support the construction of the prayer hall.
