Brief History:
Al Khuwair East Central Mosque is located in the Al Khuwair district of the Muscat Governorate in Oman. The mosque was opened in 2004 and is one of the largest mosques in Oman. It is a four-story building that can accommodate up to 5000 worshippers. The interior of the mosque was designed with traditional Islamic patterns and Arabic calligraphy. It also includes a mihrab, which is a niche that indicates the direction of the Kaaba in the holy city of Makkah. The mosque also includes a library and a conference area. It is one of the most famous mosque in Oman which you must visit.
Architecture:
The Al Khuwair East Central Mosque in Muscat, Oman is built in a contemporary modernist style with distinct Arab influences, particularly in its archways. It is constructed mostly out of white marble, with a main worship hall that is flanked on one side by a row of four minarets. Inside, the main hall is supported by eight white marble columns that are connected to white marble exteriors. The Qibla wall is encased in white marble and is adorned with a pointed golden star that points towards the direction of Mecca. The entire building is built on a raised platform, allowing visitors to view the mosque from the ground level. Additionally, there is a large outdoor prayer area with a rectangular water fountain surrounded by lush greenery. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.

The Al Khuwair East Central Mosque in Oman generally opens for prayers from sunrise to sunset. It is open for visitors for a wider range of hours, typically from 7am to 10pm, though the exact hours may vary depending on the season. best mosque in the world.
