The main worship method at Krishna Mandir in Patan, Nepal is based on Vishnu/Krishna Bhakti. At Krishna Mandir, devotees engage in puja, which involves the chanting of holy mantras, offering of flowers, ringing of bells, and other spiritual acts. Traditional hymns are sung in both Sanskrit and Newari. The puja is followed by arati, in which the devotees wave earthen lamps filled with clarified butter in front of the murti of Lord Krishna.
