The worship method of the Kankalini Temple is a unique and sacred practice. This temple follows all the traditional aspect of Hindu worship, and is a pilgrimage site for both locals and tourists alike. At the Kankalini Temple, devotees begin their pilgrimage by circumambulating the inner sanctum of the temple, entering through the eastern entrance of the compound. The main sanctum of the temple houses a six-foot tall black stone Shiva lingam and four others along with a copper plate which is said to be the place of divine powers. This is the place for offering prayers and spiritual guidance. Devotees are advised to light earthen lamps, meditate and offer expressed devotion to the god Shiva. After offering prayers, devotees enter the inner sanctum of the temple which houses the idols of several other gods and goddess.
