Chapat is a type of Ganesh temple that is found around the Kathmandu Valley in Nepal and is situated at the base of a hill on a small plateau overlooking the city. The temple was built in the 13th century and consists of a main shrine with four minor shrines surrounding it. Chapat Ganesh is worshipped as the remover of obstacles, protector, and source of divine wisdom. The way of worship at this temple includes offerings of fruits, flowers, incense, and ghee to the deity. The devotees will then circumambulate around the hill and offer prayers to Ganesh.
