Chapat is a type of Ganesh temple that is found around the Kathmandu Valley in Nepal and is situated at the base of a hill on a small plateau overlooking the city. The temple was built in the 13th century and consists of a main shrine with four minor shrines surrounding it. Chapat Ganesh is worshipped as the remover of obstacles, protector, and source of divine wisdom.
