The common form of worship in Bhairav temples in Nepal is offering of food and drinks to the deity, which is usually done by the Brahmin priest. Offerings such as flower garlands, fruits, sweets, coins, oil, butter, oil lamps etc., are also some of the ritualistic offerings. Performing abhishekams, or rituals involving pouring of water, milk, sandalwood paste and honey, are also popular rituals in Bhairav temples. Reciting of sacred mantras, or Hum or Bhāi of the Bhairav form are also performed during rituals. Offerings of naivedya (food offering), and sometimes cooked food, are made during the daily rituals. How to reach:

The Bhairav Temple in Nepal is located in the western part of the Kathmandu valley, near Buddhanilkantha. It can be reached by taking a bus to Buddhanilkantha from Kathmandu, and then taking a short walk to the temple. It is also possible to take a taxi or rickshaw from Thamel or any other part of Kathmandu, which will take around 20 minutes. From Kathmandu, the temple can also be reached by taking a shared jeep from New Bus Park, which is located in the north of the city.
